CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Practical & Viva Marks

On 1st June 2021, Prime Minister NarendraModi put an end to all speculations about CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 when he declared the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to the COVID-19 circumstances in the nation.

Days after PM Modi’s announcement, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) directed its affiliated schools to upload internal assessments, involve practical and oral marks, on CBSE’s official website, i.e., cbse.nic.in. CBSE has instructed all its affiliated schools over the nation to submit internal assessments, including practical and oral marks on the official website by June 28, 2021. CBSE increased the date for submission of internal assessment marks, which will be utilized for the preparation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, later it was notified that practical exams of some CBSE Class 12 students are pending. CBSE also advised schools to held practical and oral exams online due to the usual COVID-19 condition in the nation.

CBSE in a letter sent to schools said, “In subjects where the external examiner has not been appointed, the concerned school teacher of the subject will conduct the internal assessment based on the instructions given in curriculum in an online mode and upload the marks awarded at the link provided by the Board.”

The letter sent by CBSE said that CBSE will designate an external examiner who will choose the date of practical examination or project evaluation in discussion with the internal examiner. The internal examiner will notify the students and share the link of the meeting along with the students.

While, in a major development, CBSE has said that it will consider some time to achieve the result of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 as the norms have not been selected yet. In a particular interview with a foremost portal, CBSE Secretary AnuragTripathi said that the COVID-19 crisis has influenced the education system in India along with the other parts of the globe.

Replying to a query regarding the date of declaration of results of CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2021, Tripathi said, “The criteria have not been decided yet. This will take two weeks. Once the criteria are decided, data will be collected from all the schools under the CBSE board, then the assessment data will be uploaded. This will take a long time. It is not possible to give a definite date yet but let’s assume that the criteria will be circulated in two weeks.”
